David Kinloch, Chief Executive Officer, Labuan IBFC Inc Sdn Bhd

David Kinloch brings with him over 35 years experience in the offshore financial services industry, having worked in senior management capacities in leading offshore centers such as Bermuda, Malta, Hong Kong and with many other leading jurisdictions.

His professional history includes assignments with the Virgin Group of Companies United Kingdom, Jardine Matheson in Hong Kong, Lloyds syndicates in London, the Middle Sea Insurance company in Malta and Mobil Oil to name a few.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Kinloch acted as Labuan IBFC‘s Corporate Insurance Advisor, providing advice on insurance and reinsurance matters with a special focus on developing Labuan’s capacity as a regional captive insurance centre.

Mike Grover, Tax Specialist, Labuan IBFC Inc Sdn Bhd

Mike Grover works as a tax specialist with the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre Inc Sdn Bhd to help investors better understand Labuan’s flexible tax framework and the opportunities presented by Malaysia’s extensive tax treaty network.

He is a chartered accountant and a tax specialist having been a senior partner with Ernst & Young in a number of locations including Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong and China. At various times during his career he has sat on the firm’s tax steering committee for the Asian region, headed up the Asian Business Group, the Expatriate Tax Practice in Australia and was the National Tax Director for Malaysia.

During his professional career Mike worked mainly with multinational corporations on tax efficient cross border structures but additionally advised family companies and high net worth individuals on a range of tax and asset protection related issues.

Mike now lives in Kuala Lumpur where he indulges himself in local food, coaching soccer and taking part in competitive sporting events.

Aderi Adnan, Islamic Finance and Banking Advisor, Labuan IBFC Inc Sdn Bhd

Aderi is the Islamic Finance and Banking Advisor for the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (LIBFC). His responsibilities include strategizing and developing LIBFC to be an international leading Islamic financial center. Prior to joining LIBFC, Aderi was the Director of Islamic Finance at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) where he was responsible for developing the overall strategy and operational management of the DIFC Islamic Finance department.

Aderi started his career with Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad in the Corporate Finance and Advisory department and later move to Mayban Ventures, the Private Equity arm of Maybank, to manage its regional investment operations. He has extensive experience in investment banking and had served in several key departments including Islamic capital markets, corporate finance and fund management.

Aderi is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant, United Kingdom and graduated from Kingston University, United Kingdom in Accounting and Finance.

Dwane Feehely, Insurance Advisor, Labuan IBFC Inc Sdn Bhd

Dwane Feehely’s career in insurance and risk management spans over 30 years, commencing in the public sector in Australia and then on to a number of senior operational, product and risk management roles with insurers, financial institutions and various other organizations in Australia, SE Asia and the Middle East.

He holds bachelor degrees in engineering, business management, along with postgraduate qualifications in risk management, fire engineering and a Masters in Applied Science with specialization in risk and insurance.

Dwane is from Australia and is an experienced professional in the risk and insurance sector; he brings extensive experience to the insurance adviser role at Labuan IBFC having been responsible for large and complex national and global risk and insurance programs as well as operational insurance across several jurisdictions and companies over his career.

Dwane Feehely is based in Kuala Lumpur and is keen to promote and develop Labuan’s capacity as a regional captive insurance centre. He enjoys time with the family, dining out and travel.

Hiu Chee Fatt, Trust Advisor, Labuan IBFC Inc Sdn Bhd

Hiu Chee Fatt joined Labuan IBFC as Trust Advisor in April 2010 bringing with him more than 24 years of exposure in capital markets, financial products and fund management.

Prior to Labuan IBFC he served as Director of Legal, Compliance and Risk Management in one of the largest multinational fund management company, after heading the credit and risk management functions in various financial institutions.

He holds an Advanced Diploma of Business Administration from Association of Business Executives (A.B.E) UK and Master of business administration from College of Cambridgeshire UK.
